Festive Family Laughter Yoga
On Sunday 18th December, I am running a wonderful Festive Family Laughter Yoga session at Blackhall Mill Community Centre from 3-4.30 (note: laughter yoga will be running from around 3.15-4.00pm).
Laughter Yoga was created in 1995 by Dr Madan Kataria based upon his extensive research into the benefits of laughter. It has been found that the body cannot tell the difference between real or fake laughter so we get the same physiological and emotional benefits, including huge boosts to our happy hormones, creating a positive mindset and supporting playfulness & creativity - an essential ingredient when it comes to our relationships with our children.
Laughter Yoga includes playful laughter exercises (think penguin laughter, riding your sleigh laughter, snowball laughter, Elves in the Workshop laughter and more....) and yogic (pranayama) breathing.
The session is suitable for children aged 3+ (parents ensure responsibility for the supervision of their children at all times and understand that younger children may need additional parental support to participate).
If you have them, bring out your Christmas jumpers / elf or Santa hats or anything else that shouts CHRISTMAS!!!!
Tickets cost £2-6ppn based on what you're able to afford.
Babes in arms are welcome and free to attend.
There will be some small festive crafts and a story for the younger children whilst their grown ups enjoy a mince pie and a cuppa.
You can book your place by emailing [email protected] / text 07886 504528.
